 Wow! What a beautiful house. Who is your builder? These are a few of the comments I hear from my neighbors and friends. I'm pleased to tell them that my builder is Bill Cotton of Cotton Custom Homes, and he only builds quality homes.
I am continually impressed by Bill's attention to detail and fine finishing work. He is conscientious, and will only accept the best work from his sub-contractors.

We bought a Cotton Custom Home 3 years ago. The house was ¾ finished when we signed our contract to buy. We had the opportunity to work with Bill Cotton during the final 6 or 8 weeks of construction. Bill Cotton was our General Contractor on our home at 7524 Orchard Crest Court, Apex, NC. We found Bill to be an honorable man. He did what he said he was going to do. He did it in a timely manner and it was done right the first time. It just does not get any better than that. When we asked Mr. Cotton to build our retirement “DREAM HOME” we had some definite ideas, and he honored every one of them. From the time he drew up the initial house plans detailing our requirements, through the completion of construction, he always conferred with us and made those few changes we requested.
He has been easy to work with, was always very friendly, and always had a great big smile for us.

We started looking for a lot near our old home because we love the Swift Creek area of Wake County. We found the lot of our dreams in January and contacted the builder that owned the lot, Bill Cotton of Cotton Custom Homes. Bill set up a meeting with us to discuss the lot and he went over every detail from the lot size to what size of home that we could build according to county code. After hearing what we wanted in a home, Bill showed us a plan design that he felt might work for us. We loved it immediately. Bill arranged for us to walk through a home that he had built in the last year with the almost identical layout. The homeowners were very complimentary of Bill, and his attention to detail is what sold us. It was easy to see that Bill’s relationship with previous clients was outstanding. After meeting with Bill Cotton of Cotton Custom Homes, seeing his work first hand, talking with some of his previous clients/homeowners, we knew that Bill Cotton was the builder of choice for us. Before March ended we signed a contract and moved into the building phase.
Bill went over every detail during the building of our home. He met with us often when we were selecting appliances, cabinets, and carpet/tile just to provide suggestions and to make sure that we were satisfied. Bill kept in touch with us almost daily to let us know what was planned next and to see if we had any questions about the ongoing construction. The subcontractors used by Cotton Custom Homes were very professional in the quality of work that they completed, and they were all polite and treated us with the upmost respect. Bill Cotton’s attention to detail, both inside and outside, catches the eye of our neighbors, friends, and family as they visit us at our newly constructed home. We could not have selected a better builder, family person, or Christian to help make our new building a home. Bill was our builder, but he is also our friend for life.

Working with Bill and his team from Cotton Custom Homes made our home buying experience quite memorable. Bill is definitely hands-on and hard-working, not just the name attached to the company. Going room-by-room, identifying locations for something as simple as receptacles and light switches, Bill really took an interest in our likes and dislikes. I remember meeting him one morning to “draw” on the drywall so he could best determine the types of shelving and rods to put in our closets to match our clothing and storage needs. Throughout the building process, Bill offered his opinions and expertise, from paint colors to properly letting the hardwood adjust to the house before laying the floor.
Just before our Closing, Bill met us at the house and literally opened/closed every window, door, faucet, and so forth, identifying areas that needed a touch-up. He and his team are sticklers for detail, true craftsmen, who obviously take pleasure in building beautiful homes. In the end, we not only met a great builder, we met someone we truly consider a great friend.

When my, then soon to be, husband and I decided to build a home we drove through countless subdivisions but stopped when we came upon Cotton Custom Homes! I fell in love with his model at the time in Henrys Ridge outside of Pittsboro NC. We decided against the model due to location on the lot and my desire for an in ground pool. Bill worked with us to "customize" a custom floor plan that would work for us. Bill and his construction foreman Bryant were very patient when I came out every week to see how things were going. I love my Cotton Custom Home..and I feel that love of home every day that I pull into the drive! This is the company who will love your home nearly as much as you do!

Superior Quality and Attention to Detail In our opinion, you will be hard pressed to find a builder that will do a better job than Cotton Custom Homes. We purchased a new home that was already completed, but as soon as we walked in to it we were blown away by the quality of work and attention to detail. It is very obvious that Bill pays attention to the smallest detail, especially the finishing touches throughout the house. This was also true with the walk through and subsequent one-year follow up, something we had never experienced with a builder. We would strongly recommend that you consider Cotton Custom Homes.

Bill Cotton truly listened to what we wanted and patiently worked with us to turn our rough sketches and ideas into fully engineered house plans. Then, Bill and his Construction Supervisor partnered with us through each step of the construction process to make sure every question was answered and no details were overlooked. Bill and his staff are perfectionists when it comes to carpentry and over-all quality of workmanship. All of their construction crews were top notch. Our home was completed well within the promised timeframe. On our walk through, Bill examined every inch with a fine toothed comb and marked minor touch ups we would never have noticed. Everyone that visits our house loves it and remarks on its beauty and excellent craftsmanship. We recommend Cotton Custom Homes with total enthusiasm!
